Accessibility

This site should work for everyone.

I build accessible sites for the businesses I work with, so this one holds itself to the same bar — accessibility baked into the first component, not bolted on at the end.

Baked in, not bolted on

Works without a mouse

Every control is keyboard-operable, focus stays visible, and a skip link jumps straight past the nav to the content.

Reads well to screen readers

Semantic HTML with landmark regions, labelled controls, and live regions that announce changes as they happen — form states, results, alerts.

Respects reduced motion

Turn on ‘reduce motion’ in your system and the animations quiet down or stop — every transition on the site honors it.

Meets WCAG 2.2 AA contrast

Text clears AA contrast on every surface, light or dark, and color is never the only thing carrying meaning.

Forms that tell you what's wrong

Clear labels, and errors tied to the field they belong to, announced inline instead of buried.

A target, not a plaque

WCAG 2.2 AA is the bar I aim for, and I test as I build — but the web shifts and so does this site. If any part of it doesn’t work for you, that’s a bug on my side.
