Privacy

The short, honest version.

No dark patterns, no data games. Here’s exactly what happens to anything you send me through this site.

What I collect

When you use the contact form, I get what you type — your name (if you add it), your email, your message, and any items you added to your list. Nothing more, and nothing you didn't hand over.

How I use it

To read your note and reply. That's the whole point. I won't add you to a mailing list or send you anything you didn't ask for.

Who else sees it

Your message goes through Pouch, the mail service I run myself, which hands it to Amazon SES for delivery to my inbox. Pouch makes the text of your message unreadable once it's sent. It keeps a delivery record (your email address, a subject line with your name and whether the mail arrived), and I'll delete your address from it if you ask.

What stays in your browser

Your light/dark preference and the list you build on the site are saved in your browser's local storage — on your device, not on my server — so they're still there when you come back. Clear your browser data and they're gone.

Analytics

Google Analytics counts visits and the clicks that matter, like opening the contact form or sending it, so I can tell what's useful. It never gets what you type into the form or your list. For visitors in the EU, UK and Switzerland, it runs without cookies.

What I don't do

I don't sell your data. I don't run ad-tracking pixels. I don't share your information with anyone beyond delivering your message to me.

Change your mind?

Want me to delete something you sent? Email joey@joeyyax.com and I’ll take care of it.
